The Alternative Foundation and Tribhuvan University (TU) signed a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in February 2024 to strengthen collaboration in research, knowledge dissemination, and institutional development aimed at advancing quality education and nation-building in Nepal. The MoU was signed by Prof. Bhargab Dhital, Acting Rector of Tribhuvan University, and Mr. Prakash Bikalpa, President of the Alternative Foundation.

Under this agreement, the two institutions will cooperate in areas such as research on educational issues, e-learning technologies, methodology development, capacity-building workshops and student internships. The partnership will also explore initiatives to enhance educational governance through digitalization and work towards developing TU as a SMART University. By leveraging their complementary strengths, networks, and resources, Tribhuvan University and the Alternative Foundation aim to promote innovation, strengthen academic excellence, and address key national and global priorities, including Sustainable Development Goal 4 on quality education.
