The Alternative Foundation and the School of Science, Kathmandu University, signed a Letter of Agreement (LoA) on 31 March 2024 to foster collaboration in scientific research, knowledge exchange, and the strengthening of research and development (R&D) initiatives, with the aim of advancing academic excellence and exploring new areas of cooperation. The LoA was signed by Prof. Dr. Janardan Lamichhane, Dean of the School of Science, and Mr. Prakash Bikalpa, President of the Alternative Foundation.

Under this agreement, the two institutions will collaborate on conducting scientific research, facilitating knowledge-sharing activities, and identifying opportunities that contribute to innovation and academic growth. By leveraging their respective expertise, resources, and networks, the School of Science and the Alternative Foundation aim to promote high-quality research, encourage interdisciplinary collaboration, and develop impactful initiatives that address emerging science- technology and societal challenges.
