The Alternative Foundation and the Nepal Science Foundation Trust (NSFT) signed a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in February 2024 to establish a long-term partnership in scientific research, innovation, diaspora engagement, and policy advocacy aimed at advancing Nepal’s sustainable development and scientific excellence. The MoU was signed by Dr. Raju Adhikari, Chairperson of NSFT, and Mr. Prakash Bikalpa, President of the Alternative Foundation.

Under this agreement, the two organizations will collaborate on knowledge and skill transfer, digital platform development, diaspora networking, brain gain initiatives, and joint research and program implementation. The partnership will focus on national priorities including science and technology promotion, governance reform, climate resilience, inclusive development, and evidence-based policy advocacy. By leveraging their combined expertise, resources, and global networks, AF and NSFT aim to foster innovation, mobilize diaspora knowledge, and implement impactful initiatives that contribute to Nepal’s sustainable growth and nation-building.
