The Alternative Foundation and the Centre for Economic Development and Administration (CEDA), Tribhuvan University, signed a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 8 August 2025 to establish a long-term partnership in research, innovation, and policy engagement aimed at advancing Nepal’s sustainable development and academic excellence.The MoU was signed by Prof. Dr. Arjun Kumar Baral, Executive Director of CEDA, and Mr. Prakash Bikalpa, President of the Alternative Foundation.
Under this agreement, the two organizations will work together on joint research, program implementation, knowledge management, policy advocacy. The collaboration will address key national priorities, including the 16th Periodic Plan, Sustainable Development Goals, LDC graduation, governance reform, climate change, equity, and inclusive policy reforms. By leveraging their combined expertise, resources, and networks, CEDA and the Alternative Foundation seek to produce evidence-based policy solutions, host knowledge-sharing platforms, and implement impactful initiatives that drive inclusive and sustainable growth in Nepal.
