The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) Nepal has formally decided on 13 may 2025 to engage in coordination and collaboration with the Alternative Foundation to implement joint initiatives aimed at advancing human rights protection in Nepal.
The partnership will focus on emerging dimensions of human rights, including the use of information technology, inter-caste marriage-related rights, digital documentation systems, and environmental and social justice issues. Both institutions will work together to strengthen the strategic role of civil society organizations in reforming and reinforcing human rights frameworks in Nepal. As part of this collaboration, NHRC will provide coordination and support in joint activities, facilitate data sharing, and engage stakeholders to promote transparency, inclusion, and innovation through research and technology-based solutions. This cooperation aims to enhance institutional capacity, research, evidence-based policy advocacy, and contribute to the shared vision of justice, equality, and dignity for all.
