To assess Nepal’s AI readiness, generate evidence-based research, and publish scholarly research and thematic volumes to support responsible AI adoption, innovation, and informed policymaking.

Project Description
This initiative aims to assess Nepal’s readiness for Artificial Intelligence (AI) across policy and governance, digital infrastructure, data, human capital, research and innovation, and business and the economy. Through evidence review, expert consultations, participatory dialogues, and collaborative research, the project will identify key opportunities, gaps, and challenges in Nepal’s AI ecosystem. The findings will be developed into evidence-based research articles and thematic research volumes, subject to national and international peer review and publication. The initiative will thereby contribute to knowledge generation, responsible AI adoption, innovation, and informed policymaking in Nepal.
