The project titled “Strengthening Climate and Environmental Policy Integration in Three Tiers of Government through Coherent and Collaborative Governance” has been successfully completed, and a comprehensive report has been prepared. The report presents a systematic assessment of climate and environmental policy coherence across federal, provincial, and local levels, highlighting critical gaps, institutional challenges, and opportunities for integration. It incorporates extensive desk reviews, multi-stakeholder consultations, field assessments, and case studies to formulate evidence-based recommendations. The final report includes a detailed analysis, integration roadmap, and action plan aimed at enhancing vertical and horizontal coordination, strengthening institutional capacities, and supporting Nepal’s efforts to achieve its national and international climate commitments through inclusive and sustainable governance mechanisms.
